Windows 10 Anniversary Update, attention à vos partitions ! Ne surtout rien faire, explication
La mise à jour anniversaire des un an de Windows 10 apporte des nouveautés mais aussi des problèmes. Des utilisateurs rencontrent un souci assez grave une fois l’installation terminée. Il concerne certaines partitions de leurs unités de stockage avec à la clé, l’hypothèse d’avoir perdu l’ensemble de leurs données.
Microsoft propose depuis le 2 aout dernier, la grande mise à jour des un an de son nouveau système d’exploitation, Windows 10. Son déploiement est progressif. Dans l’ensemble tout se déroule sans trop de problème cependant ce n’est pas toujours le cas.

Certains utilisateurs constatent la disparation de partition sur leur unité de stockage. La situation est assez alarmante car sans avoir un visuel sur leur existence au travers de l’explorateur de fichiers, il est facile de conclure à leur suppression.
Il n’en est rien. Elles sont toujours là mais en RAW dans l’application « Gestion de disque ».
Microsoft affirme qu’il s’agit d’un simple bug dans le processus d’installation de Windows 10 Anniversary Update. La firme explique que les données en question ne sont absolument pas effacées, seulement invisibles.

Hi,
Microsoft has received a small number of reports of partitions not appearing in File Explorer after installing the Anniversary Update. When viewing the partition in Disk Management, it appears as RAW, unallocated space.
Microsoft is aware of this issue and is working on a solution to be released through Windows Update. Any data you have stored on the affected partition is still there. We recommend that you not try to recover or otherwise write data to the affected partition, nor should you format the partition. We will update this thread when a patch is released. If you would like to be notified when this thread is updated, click the Subscribe button at the end of this post.
For up to days 10 days after installing the Anniversary Update, Windows includes the ability to “go back” or return to the previous build if you are experiencing this issue and do not want to wait for the patch to be released.
To uninstall the Anniversary Update:
Open the Settings app.
Select Update & security and then the Recovery tab.
Under “Go back to an earlier build”, click the Get started button and follow the instructions.

Merci Chantal de nous donner l'information officielle, toujours utile.
Bien que cette annonce mentionne une correction à venir, sans préciser de délai il est vrai, je suis surprise qu'elle indique la possibilité de désinstaller Redstone 1 comme solution temporaire à ce problème.
Je suppose que c'est un cas marginal, car personne ne l'a évoqué ni sur ce forum ni dans mon entourage.
J'ai publié cet article, car il me fait penser au bug rencontré par breizhspotlight.
